Thecharacterizationofthecharactersisnotveryobvioushere.MaybethestoryhasalreadycometoChapter17andthewriterhasalreadygiventhereadersaclearpictureofthemainandsub-charactersappearinthisnovel.
Buttheplotcombinedwiththeupsanddownsofforcefulandexcitingfightingswithlotsofbloodshedgivethereadersaverystrongsuffocatingatmosphere.Noonecanbreathefreelybecausethelengthydescriptionsofthebloodyfightingswillmeananybodywillbekilledatanysecond.Again,thisbringsoutthethemeoftheunknownfutureoflife.
ThewriterobviouslyhasanexcellentcommandofChineseliteracy.Hiswritingpresentshismaturatyinhisplots,sentencestructures,themeandwellcontrolledvaburlaries.
Ofcourse,asanewreaderofthisstory,Ifeelabitconfusedofthesequenceofthedevelopementofthestorybecausetherearesomanycharactersappearatthesametimeandatthesamescene.Itlooksabitcomplicatedtome.Butsuchabitconfusionhasnotdamagedthebeautyofthewholenovel.
